By accessing or using the Onsu Home web application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by The Kosh Labs LLC ("we," "us," or "our").
Onsu Home provides a web-based interface for monitoring and controlling internet-connected Rinnai tankless water heaters. Features include temperature control, recirculation management, scheduling, and activity logging. The Service currently supports Rinnai water heaters that are Wi-Fi enabled and compatible with the Rinnai Control-R system.
Onsu Home is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any water heater manufacturer. The Service communicates with the manufacturer's API to provide water heater control functionality. The manufacturer may modify or restrict access to their API at any time without notice, which may affect the Service's functionality. We are not responsible for any changes the manufacturer makes to their API or systems.
You agree not to:
The Service controls physical water heating equipment. Improper use could result in scalding, equipment damage, or other hazards. You are solely responsible for ensuring safe temperature settings and equipment operation. Always follow Rinnai's safety guidelines and local plumbing codes. We recommend a maximum domestic hot water temperature of 120°F (49°C) to reduce scalding risk.
We strive to maintain service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:
Scheduled operations (water heater schedules) depend on the Service being available. We do not guarantee schedule execution.
The Service offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers (Hot and Blazing). Paid subscriptions provide access to additional features such as increased schedule limits, extended recirculation quotas, longer activity history, and an ad-free experience.
Billing: All subscription payments are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. Paddle handles payment processing, invoicing, sales tax/VAT collection, and refunds. When you subscribe, your billing relationship is with Paddle. Paddle's terms apply to your payment: paddle.com/legal/terms.
Auto-Renewal: Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be charged on the same date each billing cycle. Paddle will send you a receipt for each payment.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time using the management links in your Paddle receipt emails or by contacting our billing team at billing@thekoshlabs.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access to paid features until then. After the billing period ends, your account reverts to the Free tier.
Plan Changes: You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period.
Free Tier Limitations: Schedules created on the Free tier are automatically deleted after 30 days. Upgrading to a paid tier removes this limitation.
If you are unsatisfied with a paid subscription, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial purchase or any renewal payment. To request a refund, contact us at billing@thekoshlabs.com or use the Manage Subscription portal. Refunds are processed by Paddle and typically appear within 5–10 business days. After the 7-day window, refunds are not available, but you may cancel to prevent future charges.
The Free tier of the Service displays advertisements provided by Google AdSense and its partners. By using the Free tier, you acknowledge that ads will be displayed within the application. Ad content is selected by Google's automated systems and does not reflect the views or endorsements of Kosh Labs.
You may opt out of personalized ads through Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, upgrading to a paid tier removes all advertisements.
